Ground Floor

Be welcomed into the tastefully decorated front sitting room, where you can sink back into the reclining sofas in front of the Sky TV with access to movies, box sets and Sports, as the woodburning stove crackles in the winter months, or retire to the new garden sitting room, where you will find further plush seating and amazing views of The Carneddau mountain range behind Rowen.

The chef of the group will have found their haven in the beautiful and fully equipped kitchen, by French designer, Mobalpa, where they will have all they need to create culinary delights, ready to serve at the large solid oak dining table with seating for 10.

On warmer days, why not head out to the enclosed gardens where you can fire up the barbecue for alfresco dining and play lawn games with the little ones.

Completing the ground floor is the first bedroom, with queen size bed and ensuite bathroom. There is also a separate cloakroom.

 

Upstairs

The master bedroom has a king size 4 poster bed with feature fireplace and a rainfall power shower in the ensuite.

There is another king size bedroom with a feature fireplace and rainfall power shower in the ensuite.

2 double rooms at the rear of the house with electric showers in the ensuites. Y Gorlan is freshly decorated and looks amazing.

The new garden lounge

New extension finished April 2023. Large garden lounge 4m x 6m at the rear of Y Gorlan, featuring the original fire oven dating back to 1890 when Y Gorlan was built. 65″ Sky Glass TV with Sky sports, BT sports and Sky signature. 4m bifold doors with stunning views of the foothills of the Carneddau range of mountains.

 

Seats 10, lots of room for all of the family to enjoy a get together whatever the weather.

New garden bedroom and 5th en-suite

Downstairs queen size bedroom with solid oak furniture and patio doors. 4m x 3.5m. Adjoining ensuite bathroom with roll top bath, large walk in shower, wash basin & WC. Enjoy long relaxing bubble baths.

The front lounge


Facilities include:

 

Log burning fire and reclining sofas in this lounge. Seats 6, included for your use are CD & DVD player, superfast fibre broadband, Plasma TV with Sky signature, Sky Sports and BT sports.

To make the start of your holiday as stress free as possible we also provide a welcome pack of drinks and locally produced snacks and basic essentials (Milk, tea bags, coffee, sugar, loo rolls, bin bags, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets etc).

The Kitchen


Facilities include:

 

New 90cm SMEG Range cooker with double oven, separate grill and 5 gas burner hob including wok burner, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, microwave, slow cooker, Nespresso Vertuo Plus pod coffee machine, all the convenience of a real home from home. French designer kitchen by Mobalpa, leading into the dining area with solid oak furniture and feature fireplace.

The price includes bed linen, towels, heating, electricity, tea towels, complimentary toiletries and a complimentary basket of logs (Oct – March).

Additional Facilities

Garden furniture with family barbecue in the large fully enclosed gardens. Also secure bike storage, a selection of outdoor games for the children and a kennel for dogs that like to be outside. There is an area to dry, wet outdoor clothing, this is definitely a house for all seasons! There is parking for 5 cars within the grounds of Y Gorlan.

2 x travel cots and mattresses (up to 15kg), 2 x high chairs and baby bath (up to 2 years) available on request. Retractable safety gates at the top and bottom of the stairs.

House Rules

  • Suitable for children (2-12 years)
  • Suitable for infants (under 2 years)
  • No smoking inside Y Gorlan. Smoking only permitted in the back garden
  • This a family friendly holiday home no Stag, Hen or similar groups allowed.
  • The person making the booking must be aged over 30.
  • No excessive noise after 10pm.
  • Quiet rural village location in the heart of the village with elderly neighbours – No noisy groups or parties or events permitted.
  • No hot tubs.
  • Only guests that are pre-booked are allowed to stay (Max 10 guests). Any change to this then please contact Annette for her consent.
  • Please ensure all rubbish is recycled as much as posssible. Extra green recycling boxes are available next to the recycling trolley.
  • 1 Dog allowed. Please clean up after your pet and bring their own bed to sleep in. Pets are not allowed on the furniture, in any of the bedrooms, upstairs or to be left alone inside the house.

Please leave our home in the condition you found it in.

If these house rules are ignored you will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given.
